Jason Scott & The High Heat | 11 p.m. Friday, April 29 on Norman Arts Gray Street Stage

Oklahoma singer-songwriter Jason Scott & the High Heat will self-launch their debut LP CASTLE ROCK in February 2022.

Scott earned critical acclaim as a songwriter in 2018 when the second track of his DIY EP LIVING ROOMS (2017) — a breezy tribute to his wife called “She Good To Me” — landed on NPR World Cafe’s Heavy Rotation: 10 Songs Public Radio Can’t Stop Playing alongside songs by MGMT, Moby, and Jade Bird.

Scott produced his forthcoming CASTLE ROCK LP with bandmate Taylor Johnson, and produced his first record — the mellower EP LIVING ROOMS — in 2017 with fellow Oklahoma artist Travis Linville.

Scott and band will play the next Stagecoach in Indio, CA, on Nikki Lane’s personally curated stage in 2022.
