What’s up my peoples! I started learning guitar in the Fall of 2014 and like most I started strumming the basic chords but very quickly I was drawn to slide guitar, and in particular the work of Blind Willie Johnson, Son House, Fred McDowell, and Robert Johnson. I decided to focus on the music I loved and it has made all the difference for me.
The show originally started out very acoustic, very traditional but I started getting interested in going electric and the sonic capabilities therein. But I didn’t like the way most electric guitars felt in my hands. My man Jim Robinson of Norman Music Center offered to build me a very specific guitar that would meet my needs and desires. He also built me a custom pedal designed for use with these guitars, then I added the kick drum and voila I was off.
I’m still very new to this, but I have great fans and people seem to like what I’m doing, which is good cause I love it too much to stop.
