Suuns Steps In After Chastity Belt Cancels Tour – Norman Music Festival

All right, fam. Some good news and bad news…

Bad news: Chastity Belt unfortunately had to cancel their US tour dates — including Saturday’s performance at #NMF2018 — due to health concerns. We hope they are able to get fully back into good touring shape and come back through Norman sometime soon!

Good news: Montreal rock band SUUNS was able to rise up in their place! They’ll perform on the Fowler Automotive Main Stage at 7:15 p.m. Saturday. You’ve likely heard their music on the likes of American Horror Story and The Blacklist, and the band just put out their latest album Felt this past March! We’re lucky to have them, so make sure to their set makes it onto your festival schedules!

ATTENTION: NMF ACTIVITIES FOR APRIL 27, 2024 HAVE BEEN CANCELLED Under an abundance of caution, the Norman Music Alliance has decided to cancel all outdoor events at Norman Music Festival as well as The Sooner Theatre today. We take seriously the safety of our volunteers, vendors, talent, stage crew, and attendees. Please contact individual indoor venues for their plan. Please pay close attention to weather today. From our friends at the National Weather Center: A volatile afternoon upcoming with tornado watches in Norman are near certainty. Storms out west could start working their way into Central Oklahoma by early afternoon with scattered storms possibly beginning here in the 2pm to 3pm time frame... becoming more numerous and more dangerous through the late afternoon and evening. A reminder that the strongest storms will bring a tornado risk, very large hail, damaging winds, and flooding rains. Heavy downpours will make tornado detection very difficult. Have a plan, charge your cell phones, and start working on changing plans for any outdoor activities this afternoon and evening. see y’all next year.
