April 24-26, 2025

Downtown Norman is about to get loud for Norman Music Festival 9 with Cloud Nothings as the headliner for the free event on April 21, 22 and 23 in their first performance in Oklahoma.

On the bill with the Ohio rock band will be:
• Brooklyn synthpop band Small Black
• alternative hip hop artist Open Mike Eagle
• the wild live show of garage punk act Nobunny
• Oklahoma teenage sister rock duo Skating Polly
• New Orleans rock band Woozy
• Oklahoma City rock band Traindodge, who is celebrating their 20th year together in 2016.

The festival will be undergoing a few other changes this year. Dallas based-metal band Power Trip will be the headliners for the first heavy stage at the festival Friday night, located at the Bacardi Stage in the Gray Street parking lot. The hip-hop stage will be moved to the Depot for Friday night. More bands will be announced in the coming months.

Local and regional bands can now apply through the open-call to play alongside our headliners. The open-call will run from November 1 through December 20. Last year, over 600 bands applied in the 50 day window to perform at the festival.

The mission of the Norman Music Alliance is to help develop the arts community in Oklahoma through support of local original artists, support of music fans, support of art education and support of local businesses. What started as a one-day festival has now grown and expanded to a three-day festival with over 300 artists in downtown Norman and over 80,000 people in attendance at Norman Music Festival 8.
