Different Jane

Different Jane, newly formed in 2021, is a no frills
American rock n roll band from Norman, Oklahoma.
With inspirations rooted in 60‘s garage rock, UK indie,
and punk, the band’s music is a mix of energetic guitar
and sincere “say it like it is” lyrics.

The band centers around Ian Roberts, writer, vocalist,
and guitarist who is best known for his band “Regg” who
played with artists such as G-Eazy and Chief Keef.
Different Jane’s sound has been compared to bands
such as The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, and
other influential artists.

Different Jane’s 6 track Debut Album “Rooms” will be
releasing September, 15th 2022 to all major streaming
platforms. The album was engineered by Grammy
winning producer Trent Bell, known for his work with
artists such as The Flaming Lips, Starlight Mints, and
Watermelon Slim who’s record “The Wheel Man” won
blues record of the year.

From the beginning of the project, the concept was to
create a record that captured the raw essence of rock n
roll and carry it into the future. As such, it was recorded
using old school techniques coupled with modern gear.
The result is an album that has the energy of a live show,
sincere vintage qualities, and an inherent soulfulness.
