2010 NMF Main Stage The main stage and NMF3 will again be located in the 100 block of Main Street... right smack dab by the railroad tracks! (Main Street and James Garner Parkway)
Performers: Dirty Projector Dirty Projectors are the experimental rock project of Dave Longstreth, a former Yale student who left college to become one of the most intriguing indie singer/songwriters of the early 2000s. Named for a day job Dave once held cleaning projectors at a movie theater, Dirty Projectors began as a very simple LoFi solo project releasing home recorded projects to an audience of friends. The band’s rise since that time has been steady and striking, and included such fascinating and captivating projects as the 2007 release Rise Above. In April 2008, Dirty Projectors signed with Domino Records and released critically acclaimed album Bitte Orca in June 2009. That year, the band also collaborated with David Byrne and Germaine Greer on the song "Knotty Pine" for the compilation album, Dark Was the Night.
Electric Six
Electric Six is a six-piece Detroit-based band that plays what has been described as a brand of rock music infused with elements of garage, disco, punk, new wave, and metal. The band met recognition in 2003 with the single "Danger! High Voltage", and subsequently recorded six full-length albums: Fire, Señor Smoke, Switzerland, I Shall Exterminate Everything Around Me That Restricts Me from Being the Master, Flashy and KILL. They have also released a rarities album, Sexy Trash.
The Sword
Edan with guest Dagha
Edan:Critically acclaimed Boston based rapper-producer-DJ-historian Edan Portnoy made a dent on the underground hip-hop scene in 1999 with the twelve-inch Sing it Shitface. But it wasn't until his first release on Lewis Recordings that Edan garnered interest from both rock and hip-hop circles first in the UK then later, in his native US. Primitive Plus introduced Edan's unique and irreverent take on hip-hop's past while his next album Beauty and the Beat saw him successfully incorporating elements of 60's psychedelia. Both albums were showered with praise, cementing Edan's reputation as one of the most daring and adventurous artists in modern day hip-hop.
Dagha: Dagha's debut solo album Object in Motion gained a 5-star review Hip Hop Connection magazine and was called "as sharp as his moniker" in Elemental magazine. Dagha cut his teeth as part of the highly regarded Boston supergroup Electric and more recently gained notoriety for his appearance on the critically acclaimed Edan album Beauty & The Beat. He has also appeared on Insights Targeting Zones LP, Blast Radius LP, Maysun Project LP and Martiangangs Got Skills Galore 12 inch. Dagha has contributed to the success of many groups as a member of Cloke-n-Dagha, The Knights of the Roundtable (Insight, T-Ruckus and Mr. Lif), and The Massdasuvdauniverz. In addition to the numerous group projects, Dagha has also been a top-notch opening act for some of hip hops heavyweights, spotlighting his solo classics or performing innovative combined sets around the U.S, Canada and Europe. Dagha's lates album is THE DIVORCE and was preceded by the single Cliche.
Grupo Fantasma Grupo Fantasma is an 11-piece Latin funk orchestra from Austin, Texas. Formed in 2000 from the merger of two Austin acts, The Blue Noise Band and The Blimp, the band emerged with a sold out show at the former Empanada Parlour in Austin. The band is best known for their exuberant live shows and their recent association with Prince and his 3121 Club in Las Vegas. The band has backed Prince on numerous occasions, including his performance on the ALMA Awards in 2007. The band often performs at his after party jam sessions. The ensemble has sold more than 20,000 albums independently.
Jabee Dead Sea Choir
Mayola Mayola is a group of five musicians based out of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Best known for their energetic live performances, Mayola has built a large and dedicated following throughout Oklahoma and the surrounding states. They have developed an ever-evolving sound that they describe as “Post-Apocalyptic Country 'n' Western Rock 'n' Roll,” with somewhat dark but honest themes that are summed up in catchy hooks that are easy to sing and dance to. Mayola has been at work on a new album that they plan to release independently in the late spring of this year.
Gentle Ghost Gentle Ghost consists of Seth McCarroll, Brady Smith, Becky Carman, Scott Harper, Tyler Huskerson, Adam Huskerson. Born of artfulness and intent manifested in raucous feedback, sweet melody, visual stimulation, and physical strain. The resulting culmination is cerebral and soulful. Delicate and unwieldy. Emancipating and wily.
We are the only festival in the world that has a real live train drive through it every hour!

Sooner Theater Stage 101 E Main
The Sooner Theatre opened her doors for the first time in 1929 as the first movie theatre in the region built to show "talking pictures". Today, the theatre is now listed on both the State and National Registry of Historic Places, and hosts a variety of shows, ranging from ballet and opera to concerts, plays and musicals. To learn more, visit www.soonertheatre.com.
Sooner Theatre Performers announced so far: April 24th Headliner Evangelicals Picking up where their 2006 debut So Gone left off, Evangelicals leave behind much of their ADD-addled approach on The Evening Descends, instead taking their wealth of great ideas and harnessing them for good. The hyperactive, overdriven pop is still here, but it is balanced with restraint--not a lot, but enough--that allows the songs to shine through. All this and stories, too: Beneath the shrieks of guitars, keyboard blasts, and proggy space-age grooves, singer/guitarist Josh Jones leads the listener through tales of religion and revivalism, plus insanity, drugs, black-outs, zombies, good and evil, car crashes, love and a mental institution called Bellawood. Jones’s wild narratives and propulsive pop songs are anchored with the right balance of stoicism and wit by bassist/keyboardist Kyle Davis and drummer Austin Stephens.
April 25th Headliner
The Non + Cloud Collision Orchestra "The Non is an experimental, ambient rock band from Oklahoma City that has been delivering high-energy, dynamic performances to fans for four years. Their debut album, Paper City (2007) sold over a 1,000 copies and packed Oklahoma music venues. The Oklahoma Gazette reported, “If you can imagine that time before a storm—that eerie, tense silence—this is the perfect time to hit play on the band's new CD, 'Paper City.'" The Gazette later announced The Non as “Best Rock Band” of 2008. After playing sold out shows on a Midwest tour, The Non played with fifteen members of the OKC Philharmonic and are about to release their sophomore album 'Tadaima' in January 2010. “Tadaima”—a Japanese phrase that translates as “I’m home”—is not just the title of the album, but a statement. For the Non, music isn’t just the amplification of intricate chords and perfected instrumentation. It’s emotion. It’s experience. It’s home."
